I remember the Day George inspected the property, at this stage I was heavily pregnant with our 2nd child and thought there is no way I can walk in with no lights, mountains of rubbish and neglected equipment. I would be lying if I didn’t tell you I thought he was crazy because it looked like hard work!!
But at this moment I knew when I saw his face, this was it! George’s dream was finally becoming a reality! He was full of ideas from design, food, ambience and coffee his energy quickly became infectious.
George said to me “After owning 11 businesses it was time to create a space which was a true reflection of my craft and passion”.
If I had to describe George, I would say that he is a visionary and a creator and thinks nothing is impossible. This is a quality I love and admire even if it sometimes scares me !
Roast ‘Ville’ inspired by the word village was to become a place where the community comes together for the love, design and creation of food and coffee. Roastville offers a hub to support George’s passion to teach and share the art of coffee through education and roasting.
Who would of thought in the heart of Marrickville we would have found our why.
