Located in Oromia about 400km south Adis Ababa the nensebo is home to a collection of smallholder farmers. Once harvested, the Yirgacheffe coffee cherries are sold to the local milling station Alemayehu Urdofa. Here the cherries are sorted by hand before being dried for 4 – 6 weeks on raised sunbeds. The sweet, fruity mucilage of the coffee cherry penetrates the inner beans during this process, creating the very prominent fruitiness and sweetness, which we love in Ethiopian coffees
